We are back in France and this time it’s for two whole months! We decided to take advantage of my maternity leave and enjoy proper village life in Ménerbes! It feels so good to leave the city life behind – not that you can call Cape Town an overly stressful city, but you know what I mean – changing our normal routine to something completly different.
We are staying in the middle of the village – Maison O – right next door to the village boulangerie, with a fireplace and a veranda (with the most amazing view of the provencial mountains). The weather has been fab – nice and nippy in the mornings and nights – so our jogs are fresh and we can light a fire in the evening. But it’s all shorts and sun in the day – beautiful!
All we plan to do for the next two months is visit the markets for kaftans, shop for vintage furniture (to bring back to Cape Town for the shop), spend time in the kitchen trying out new dishes (been perfecting my omelette making skills – Seth approves) and just enjoy village life in the South of France with Franki in tow!
Enjoy the pics..
